At Auburn Flower Farm, we work as a family growing beautiful flowers in Parkland County. Growing seeds into blooms is a magic we want to share with you.
Our Name
I am Shelley, the dreamer behind Auburn Flower Farm. Lucky for me I grew up with many inspiring ladies in my life. Thinking back on what my own grandmothers, Audrey and Berna, pursued and the legacies they left has driven me to begin a flower farm. My Grandma Audrey was an organized and artistic lady who raised nine children, and taught grade one for thirty years. She loved perfecting petunia pots, manicured baskets, and lily beds. On the other hand my Grandma Berna was an energetic, adventurous, homesteading gardener who grew lilacs, peonies and sweet peas. The combination of their personalities and virtues are like a garden; a beautiful mix of nature and structure, strength and delicacy, which together inspired Auburn.
The Growers
Many years ago as a child, while looking for something to do I decided to spruce up the driveway. I don’t remember getting permission, I just remember digging into the sod and being so pleased with the new flower bed I had created. Every summer it grew a little bigger and I was encouraged by family and neighbours driving by to water and nurture it. The colour and beauty flowers brought had me hooked.
I haven’t stopped digging, seeding, planting, growing, weeding or dreaming. Now as a busy little family we have decided to expand our garden so we can share flowers with others.
Auburn Flower Farm is a dream that has come to life with the hard work of my husband Jamie and I. We hope you love the flowers we grow and we know they will add beauty to your days.
